My grandmas old falling apart trailer had a gas stove.
They only moved out and into an apartment with an electric stove when their water heater fell through the rusted out floor onto the ground beneath the trailer.
Anyone who owns a home for more than a decade or two, which was pretty normal for the middle class (in the US) for a while, has to replace a stove at some point, and these aren’t that much more assuming you already have a gas line.
Speaking of which, in many places, especially those powered by natural gas, these stoves are actually cheaper to run than electric ones, making them much more common.
But yeah if you see someone putting in their own gas line these days just because they want a gas range, they probably have some fuckin’ dough.
middle class is a fairly broad category, I would personally define it as between owning your house outright and having a few tens to hundreds of millions
I’m telling you that you either used as-built junk your whole life or never had a basic remodel. The price difference is $100-$300 for entry-level ranges.
I’ve lived in middle class homes my entire life and never seen one. Sorry, very serious. It’s def. a more rich thing to have.

Ok. But almost no one else uses a definition anywhere close to that so for the purpose of communication you may want to consider recalibrating.
are you claiming a renter could be middle class, somehow?

It’s like he read what I wrote, but saw the opposite.
If that seems unusual, then I’m going to break it to you that you weren’t middle class.
Can’t win an argument, soyjack the other perosn! YOU’RE POOR THAT:S WHY YOU DONT HAVE A 5 BURNER STOVE!!! REEEEE
This all started because you think a $100 upgrade is for rich people. Whatever man.
Whatever man
Yeah, this plebeian can’t replace appliances on a whim! Or do a remodel on a whim!
It’s not my fault you’re all brokies.
But I guess shitposting subs will both attract both made people with leisure time and people festering while complaining about money
This is the point you do some self reflection. And better math.
Nah I’ll just block you and keep making fun of your broke ass
Exhibit A of not doing self reflection.
