anyone who doesn’t care, ignore this.

but for anyone who needs it, you can setup redirects to avoid imgur and use one of the libre-front ends (think like piped/invidius are for youtube but there are similar for reddit/imgur/etc). i use the redirector addon linked below to setup redirects so imgur links automatically go to the front-end instance i want.

addon settings (adjust for your preferred instance):

Description:  imgur to nohost.network (MX rimgo instance) redirect
Include Pattern:  ^https?://(?:\w+\.)?imgur.com/(\w+)(?:\.\w+|/)?$
Pattern Type:  regular expression
Pattern Description:  match for imgur embedded file or page url, ignore sub-domain and ext
Redirect to:  https://rimgo.nohost.network/$1
Example URL:  https://i.imgur.com/IniKMpC.mp4
Example result:  https://rimgo.nohost.network/IniKMpC
