Now, I’m not too caught up on the rhetoric, so maybe I’m incorrect here, but I never really saw “Femboy” as a transgender thing, and more of a kink thing like someone who identifies as male dressing up as a woman, or wanting to be talked to like a woman, while still being male, and under that parameter, it doesn’t shock me that its the more popular search, at least it seems like it is from the graphs.

That said, I am surprised that on the list of metro areas, Minneapolis and Sioux Falls are so closely matched.

as a transfem (nonbinary not girl tho) i hate how porn calls trans women “femboys” despite femboys being a completely different thing

when used to refer to trans women, femboy is a slur

an actual “femboy” is (very literally) a “feminine boy”; a male-identifying and at-least-somewhat-feminine-presenting person, often adhering to the typical style of femboy culture (thigh high socks, crop top, skirt or short shorts, fluffy hair that doesnt go past the chin), or often other queer styles

being a femboy is one of the ways a cishet person can be queer (other notable ways are being aromantic or intersex)
