She slept better last night. The sores in her mouth didn’t hurt as much, but her nail beds felt worse.
Three weeks between infusions let’s her hair grow back just a little between each. She looks cute with a little fuzz on top.
She still smiles. It fills me with joy every time. Laughing hurts but those smiles…
I watch her through the night. I don’t recognize her anymore. Her breaths come differently, but the sound still helps me fall asleep.
Love is a journey, there is no “real” love, that’s just the love you prefer right now.
What if I love several people?
There is no such thing as a soul
There are such things as metaphors.
And for what would the soul be a metaphor?
Cause you don’t believe in one or cause you have yet to see proof of one?
If there is no proof then it’s no different than a fantasy. The entire concept of a soul is a desire for personhood to be immortal.
I don’t believe in souls either but things’ unproveness or even unprovability is not a synonym to non-existence.
In my case both, but I am an atheist who believes that this world and this life is all that we have and can prove exists.
I am agnostic enough to admit that could be wrong, and underlying this is that existing forever, even in paradise, sounds terrifying to me.
As of yet no-one has even been able to tell me what a soul is supposed to be. So I guess both.
I’m definitely getting nit-picky, but I’m seeing a lot of definitions for what a soul is (from an Ecosia search), and one definition I like is “an individual person.” I generally think of a soul as someone’s consciousness, which to me means that all life has souls. But I have been called a hippie before 😅
