Is this where Lemmy culture is at? We’re laughing at rape jokes now? The 180+ of you who upvoted this should be ashamed of yourselves

I don’t see the rape joke, just an attempt at a humourous retort on the theme of people having emotional needs whereas sex toys don’t.

I think I figured out the leaps in logic: “That cries” must mean “during sex” must mean because it’s non-consensual. Which I guess makes a little sense if you latch on to “don’t even vibrate” for context?

But either way, if we’re being that over the top then anyone being called a sex toy means that they have no agency, rude or not.

This website turned from a viable Reddit alternative into a chud hangout in the span of about 2 years. Every time I give it a chance shit like this pops up on my feed with zero community pushback

Which of the two has more rights than the other? Which is more likely to have their bodily autonomy removed by law in most of the world? Which is statistically more likely to be raped or killed by a partner or relative? I’ll give you a hint: it’s not the one referring to people as flesh lights.

Dorks like you that believe only women are allowed to make sexist jokes are a big part of why kids fall into the manosphere. That unique combination of whining and patronizing hypocrisy does nothing for anyone.

It’s one thing when it’s unprompted, but this galling refusal to not even be able to take dark humor in someone giving as good as they just got in the exact currency they just used is just obnoxious.

…all of which of course makes it okay for them to refer to people as sex toys. They’ve earned that right. That’s… how that works.
