Literally, show the scar on his ear. Where is it? A part of his ear should have been blown off. What happened?
Or was it just a piece of glass from the screen that shattered, cutting his ear a little?
He actually does have a subtle scar; the helix has some bumps matching where the wound was. (Not the earlobe as mentioned in the original comment)
