Have you considered that a niche financial trading anime that no one has heard about might not have actually caused tech stocks to decline? And that this whole post might be in jest?
I had, yes. My joke in response was that maybe the anime had caused the decline (I had missed that your original post was implying causation; I’d assumed you were merely noting a correlation).
And the community I linked is all about correlations between unrelated events–that is to say, all about fun coincidences just like the one your post referenced. Admittedly, the community is a bit dead now, but that’s why I said it could use your post.
Ah well, it’s cool lol. I guess the jokes missed in some regards.
I’m hoping that in the coming months, the AI bubble actually reaches a full blown crash (if only so that we can get the economic damage done and over with). So I’ll surely revisit the meme eventually, hopefully with a more conclusive graph.
