I’d like to see open source hardware for phones. I want a full system with open sourced modem components. It would be nice to have a Linux phone capable of using 5G.
Google Maps
I discovered recently there is an “Ungoogled Maps” patch available on Morphe. Obviously a fully open alternative would be better, but none of the alternatives I’ve found do public transport in the UK yet
Organic maps works well in many countries, you can improve its data in yours if it does not work as well
Can’t look up places by name, only full address :(
Yes, this needs work. But every time you add a business name, contact details, and hours, you help the next people find it without going to google.
