A few weeks ago I asked (here) a question about composing an opera. It is progressing (especially since a few AI-savvy “lemmings” are now helping with composing). In my proposed act one, Golda and Yasser meet and fall in love, it is set on the West Bank, so an intercultural love story.  In act 2, a terrible fight breaks out between the families, with dramatic librettos by the four parents. (Drama and politically relevant). Golda’s drunk grandfather offers some comic relieve. In the third and final act, things will start to collapse. War breaks out, Yasser turns out to be 47 (whereas Golda is just 18) and he visits kinky websites. As the tension heightens, Golda sticks a knife into Yasser and he dies singing her favorite aria “Mia Bella Fiore.” Curtain.  Question: should I flip this around, and replace Yasser by a Hannah (a still attractive 50-something), and Golda by Mahmut (a 16 yo leatherjacket motor boy)? What would work the best? It should all be politically correct too.
