I find it interesting the right-wing influencers seem like they were primed to claim the election was stolen

Even Trump isn’t bothering with it. Seems like it was too decisive of a result for them to even try challenging

Libs of TikTok is the username of various American anti-LGBTQ and far-right social-media accounts operated by Chaya Raichik – Wikipedia

Just a PSA that it’s a creepy source, so don’t trust it much.

It does explain the weird way that the question answers itself at the end without its author seemingly realising it. There aren’t the numbers to make it mathematically plausible to shift further right if you’re already at that extreme.

MAGA people won’t understand that. They’ll just think it’s impossible every county went blue, despite that not being what the chart says

It’s like some people don’t want to obey the divine procomations of Dear Leader. In my household we already refer to the so called Alantic and Pacific Oceans as The Trump Ocean and ThePresident DJT Ocean so he knows that we support everything he commands!

Even ignoring the past event thing, the chance is very high, because the events are naturally correlated. Everybody felt the same raised fuel prices.

Now if it was the chance of uncorrelated events, the chance would be essentially zero.

Just remember when reading this image: “shift to democrat” doesn’t mean that county was won by democrats. It could also be a shift from 19% democratic in 2024 to 22% in 2026

Most importantly, Democrats didn’t “win”! Trump just sabotaged the GOP. What are the chances EVERY Democrat ran a flawless campaign and pulled this off in unison.

I pray next that Democrats seize this once in a lifetime opportunity. Americans cried out “make the last 2 years impossible again!” That is the mandate, not business as usual.

Democrats didn’t “win”! Trump just sabotaged the GOP.

Democrats have been building momentum in the state since the disaster of 2014. Dem turnout has climbed from the 1.4M low water mark that year. An enormous part of that was driven by the Beto engagement strategies and permanent campaign apparatus begun in 2018.

By comparison, NY Dems turnout out 3.4M voters in '26. California turned out 5.1M. Texas Dems turned out 5.4M.

Compare Texas to Florida, Virginia, Ohio… Nobody came close. This was as dramatic a swing as the elections in Hungary and Serbia. And all credit goes to Texas locals, who organized cadres fully independent of the national party.

Texas isn’t as red as people think. The GOP took over the Texas legislature for the first time ever in 2003, and gerrymandered the shit out of it to prevent themselves from losing the state. The majority of the US House delegation from Texas were Democrats from the founding of the state through 2002. Then in 2004, the gerrymandering allowed them to flip it from majority-Democrat to 2/3 Republican.

My friend said this pattern has happened to every single US president ever except J bush (they lost the midterm elections to the opposing party on their second term). Is there data and facts on it?

Not sure if you’re joking? Those elections didn’t work out for the president’s party Edit: oops I see the Dems gained a few house seats in 98, zero in the senate.

Here. 218 is a majority of the 435 seats.

2026: Current count is at least 40 seats flipped from R to D, from 214 to 254 called, and plausibly 45 flips for 259. President’s party loses the largest number of seats since 1994, loses control of House.

2022: President’s party loses 9 seats and house control, 222-213.

2018: President’s party loses 41 seats and House control, 235-199.

2014: President’s party loses 13 more seats, despite already not having House control, expanding opposition control to 247-188.

2010: President’s party loses 63 seats and House control, 242-193.

2006: President’s party loses 31 seats and House control, 233-202.

2002: President’s party gains 6 seats, expanding House control to 229-204.

1998: President’s party gains 5 seats, narrowing the opposing party’s control to 223-211.

1994: President’s party loses 54 seats and House control, 230-204.

Before that, House elections dynamics were a bit different. National party identity wasn’t as strong, and split ticket voting was more common, so Democrats held House control even as Republicans won the White House 5 out of 6 elections.

Nah, she’s a bitch. You’re free not to use that word, I’m free to use it, c’est la vie. Unless you’d have preferred I call her a cunt, because I’d be happy to oblige.

Words exist in context. If I called my female boss a bitch because I perceived her as domineering or demanding, that’d be out of line. If I call someone a dumb bitch for running one of the most toxic accounts on social media posting nonsensical disinformation, that’s very different. While I understand that being called a bitch can be very hurtful, I’m not calling you one, I’m calling someone else one, so being offended on their behalf is silly. I’m not gonna censor myself because someone might have a negative association with a word. And before someone says “I’ve heard the same logic applied to the n word” cool well I’m not applying it to the n word, I already don’t say that so I don’t need to censor myself.

Bruh. Are you really gonna act like bitch is on the same level of offensiveness as the n word? You’re either being retarded or disingenuous.
