Been looking for a nice ZFS UI for my NAS after ditching TrueNAS for PBS. This is developed by a former TrueNAS/iXsystems employee and looking pretty good. Set it up and it’s pretty intuitive and helpful.
AI has been used for the UI but not the backend if I got it right (there’s a rant about that in the README).
Love the disclosure of AI in the frontend, will be keeping and eye on this one as he replaces the frontend code.

I don’t think they plan to replace the code - I understood it as them wanting to focus on the backend and also not being a UI programmer, leaving that part to the LLMs.
They explicitly reference the LLM generated front end code eventually being replaced when they can “hire a proper JS/CSS” dev.
So hopefully that happens in the near future!
Oh cool, I missed that somehow. I wonder if they want to pay that out of their own pocket, since there’s no donation link and only 1 GitHub sponsor, also no support option or something on the website.
