minus-squareweariedfae@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkarrow-up1·2 hours agoI don’t like any crisp left in my vegetables. BRING ON THE MUSH! Either way it should be steamed with a little butter and Johnny’s.
minus-squareGeriatricGambino@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up8·8 hours agoVegetables cooked in boiling water have a slightly adjustable cooking time window depending on the level of firmness you prefer, but they are never supposed to be “mushy”
minus-squareAppoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.comlinkfedilinkarrow-up1·2 hours agoBoiled = (to me) cooked like a noodle. Blanching should be what you are referring to.

minus-squareDozzi92@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up3·7 hours agoI think the boiled part was a joke to add to the otherwise pedestrian meal. And no hate on macheesyfingers, it’s just not some culinary extravagance.

How about steamed?

Fair.
I do.
