It is really funny that billionaires think they will be safe in their bunkers in a post apocalyptic world. Their security teams will be the first to turn on them.

You are totally correct that there is a danger that Bernie’s vacant seat gets occupied by some kinda corpo ghoul. But there is also a possibility that AOC, as the head of the new Progressive Wing, helps elect new Progressive candidates, possibly by ousting incumbent corpo ghouls. As seen in the recent House and Senate wins, it’s totally possible, we just have to help make it happen.

Bernie running around and campaigning with AOC is him setting up his replacement for the leader of the Progressive wing. Sure technically they are in different parts of Congress, but that distinction is meangingless to the average person. Much like how Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer are the leaders of the Centrist wing, though Chuck is a lot less helpful to his protégé. Schumer and Hakeem got a Star Wars Sith kind of relationship; I fully expect Jeffries to one day wax poetically about the irony of Darth Schumer the Wise.

Claiming Obama is not a politician is like claiming Gordan Ramsey isn’t a chef. Obama still wields a lot of political influence because he’s basically Liberal Jesus. He can turn out numbers, fundraise, and influence political policy. His opinions are seen as the “correct direction for the Democratic party” and his approval is a jet engine to wider popularity.

The people want MAGA to be held accountable. They can see clear distinctions between themselves and the fascist Republicans. We want fuckers in jail at the very least. The kind of message Obama and other Centrist Dems like Hakeem Jeffries are sending is one of unifying and accepting the crazies back into polite society.

It is pretty crazy that Centrist Democrats are willing to give power to Maga Fascists if it prevents the Progressive wing from gaining power. Smug Centrists like Haley Stevens are out there right now trying to tank the chances of Progressive Candidates like Abdul El-Sayed just because they want to protect the interests of Isreal. It is pretty hypocritical of the centrists to start becoming non-voters after incorrectly blaming progressives of doing it.
