Capitalism only stops when it runs out of fuel.
I really hoped that the recent plague would bring people together/weed out the bad apples, but the terrible people only got stronger/more insane and everyone else was forced apart.
There’s a word for that, but whenever I start typing it into my phone a bunch of police drones start to buzz my building.
Shit, things weren’t even that bad (compared to now, things were still inexcusably bad) when every other person was prepping/praying for the Zombie Apocalypse/2012/(whatever the comet close call was named).

Imagine having to go out and work everyday when it feels like the rest of the world is baking bread, playing with/making babies, working on their novel. Then when you clock out there is fuckall to do but go home because everything is closed and you need to make sure your aging mother didn’t fall down the stairs.
