Sites with closed captions are a challenge to find; I’ve managed for a bit, and I found great ones.
However, now I’m trying to watch a show called Tokyo Vice where open subtitles aren’t working, and I have to find Nova ones.
However, sites that have them don’t work 99% of the time for this show; I’ve tried hundreds.
The frustration of not being able to watch a show and chill before bed is huge; this show I quoted isn’t even available in my country.
So yeah… This was my rant.
Have you tried the FastStream web browser extension? Among its features is subtitle search for a stream you’re watching.

I’ve even used it on legit sites that already had subtitles, to find some with a better translation.
That add-on looks so good, but the hoops I gotta jump on Firefox are a bit too much
I installed it over a year ago, didn’t realize it had become so difficult now in Firefox.
Might be worth having a “single-purpose install” of a Chrome-based browser like Helium just for watching streaming video.
