I get it. At the same time, I fear that in a world such as ours, the only way my brain could let me be happy were if it were majorly damaged. Like, to the point I’d be unaware of my surroundings.

Personally, I’m about ready to start an n=1 human trial into controlled IQ/EQ/Mental capability reduction.

Just gotta settle on the right poison to take in small doses over time. Not lead though, I rather not attain contentment by turning into what I detest.

I’m in that sweet spot where I’m less happy than I would be if my brain wasn’t damaged/defective, but not as happy as I would be if the damage/defect was much more severe!

      #Winning! 😮‍💨

If you are willing to jump through hoops to get them, and then cycle though a bunch that make you gain weight and lose your sex drive.

No thanks. I’d almost rather be dead.

I know from my own personal experience that this is partially true 😁

As in my brain DOES function many times better with meds than without, but I’m still far from optimally functioning and have made my peace with that lol

Have you tried experimenting with different dosages? Have you paired your medical treatment with different lifestyles? I found that certain lifestyles help me more than others.

Have you tried experimenting with different dosages?

I have, yes, in consultation with my doctor

Have you paired your medical treatment with different lifestyles?

Nah, I find that not changing anything about what I do and how I do it is the way to see real gains.

I found that certain lifestyles help me more than others.

Yeah. For me, being a bulimic lawyer from Nova Scotia didn’t help me AT ALL.

My current stint as a Danish smartass who bikes every day and eats a lot of cabbage and other fruits and veg is a MUCH better fit.

Yea. Living your life and eating healthy helps a lot. I am glad you’re managing to get some exercise as well. It makes sense why this is a better fit. Honestly, those changes that helped me a lot.

I’m definitely depressed but I still do things. I don’t really quite understand why I do them though. Inertia?
