Not to be confused with a Cuddlefish:

You’re incredibly intelligent.
You live for two years.
Cuttlefish aren’t venomous. The flamboyant cuttlefish is poisonous, but it’s the only species out of 6 that is.
So cuttlefish can bite me but I shouldn’t bite a cuttlefish?
Nice.
That being said, cuttlefish do get eaten in Japan, since they’re cephalopods like octupi and squid.
They just don’t eat flamboyant cuttlefish because
1: their muscle tissue is extremely poisonous
2: an adult is the size of your thumbnail
3: they’re adorable. They have fins/tentacles adapted to work as little legs to walk on the bottom of the ocean
