minus-squarelauha@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkarrow-up4·3 days agoSo cuttlefish can bite me but I shouldn’t bite a cuttlefish?
minus-squaremnemonicmonkeys@sh.itjust.workslinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·2 days agoNice. That being said, cuttlefish do get eaten in Japan, since they’re cephalopods like octupi and squid. They just don’t eat flamboyant cuttlefish because 1: their muscle tissue is extremely poisonous 2: an adult is the size of your thumbnail 3: they’re adorable. They have fins/tentacles adapted to work as little legs to walk on the bottom of the ocean For reference: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51jB8YljliM
