I typically use the word accelerator. You can do things manually, but your brain has a bunch of autonomic accelerators for things like speech synthesis, hearing, vision, entity detection, social bonding modes, etc. Deviation in those are what causes neurodivergence. Deviations in affinities and identity are what causes the queer and aspec spectrums.
The cerebellum sounds like a co-processor, like how old computers had math co-processors.
Still, everyone has one, it isn’t limited to ADHD.
