We can’t have Jeffries as speaker

Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries need to go. Those two have as much charisma as an open hemorrhoid, just about as much initiative, and they’re dragging the Democratic party down like an anchor.

      My wife likes Speaker Jeffries.

It’s like I don’t even know who she is anymore. It’s divorce, then, obviously.

The only thing change.org petitions have ever changed are the size of change.org’s spam list. They will sell your confirmed contact info to anybody who will pay. One of the best scams the internet ever invented.

Great idea but the time to change the leadership was during the primaries. If enough DSA/progressive candidates would have won those it would be possible now.

If you have a Democratic rep, petition them directly. They are the ones who ultimately make that choice.

Make sure you tell them that it’s not about getting even, it’s about upholding the law. The Supreme Court has basically said that the only check on a lawbreaking President is impeachment. I would argue that Congress has a responsibility to impeach if the President is blatantly breaking the law. The buck cannot be passed to anyone else.

Not just that, but also Amendment 6. An amendment for simplifying the language of ballot measures. Which our Republican legislature worded at above grad student level of reading. Not being a grad student, but being an avid reader. I was able to understand it, but I had to help a lot of family members understand it as well.

I really thought Kearney, North Platte might go blue lots of jobs were lost in that part of the state with meat packing. Plus trucking is huge anywhere west of York. Diesel has to be killing them but they just keep voting for the pain. We tried

They’re traditionally okay with that. Not being in power isn’t the same thing as not having power. They will happily continue to get by with less as long as the gravy train continues. Not voting has never been a threat to them. More people need to understand this.

The only thing those useless bums would see as a threat. Is being challenged in a primary for their office or seriously challenged in general. That and revolution,. But anything short of either of those and they will just happily sit in their seat taking money.

Jeffries today: Yeah. Impeachment is not really a priority

Chuck at least had the sense to keep his mouth shut this morning about his lack of ambition. God I cannot wait for Chuck to face a DSA primary in two years.

Schumer should risign so he can spend more time with his imaginary friends the Baileys.

Jeffries is already giving up bargaining chips before he’s even sat down at the table to negotiate.

To be fair, he might be hinting at 25th. It’d be easier to go that route, I think. And this would be much more likely to get Republicans on board as well. He’s clearly getting worse at an accelerating rate. His decline is speeding up and taking him out with a 25th may come off as sympathy as opposed to revenge. And then you throw is ass in prison.

Oh shit it’s Jeffries we were talking about… Yeah, you can ignore the previous paragraph.

It’d be easier to go that route, I think.

It takes a larger supermajority than impeachment: 2/3 of both houses. The cabinet needs to sign on as well. And the president can contest the finding of incapacity and drag out the proceedings.

I’d love to see them saddled with Vance for 2 years. Even the most abject MAGA rube can tell that there’s something the matter with that creep. He radiates cynicism, condescenscion and inauthenticity.

[Copy/pasting this from another thread because it’s important:]

Can we start talking about who we would like to see in those congressional leadership roles?

For starters, here are some potential names for Senate Majority Leader:

    • Corry Booker [Heard]
    • Elizabeth Warren
    • Jon Ossoff
    • Chris Van Hollen

And for Speaker of the House:

    • Jamie Raskin
    • Ro Khanna
    • Robert Garcia
    • Pramila Jayapal

Feel free to discuss pros and cons regarding any of them, or add more names to the lists. We need to have this conversation now.

He and Schumer think they won. They are much of the reason Trump is in the white (trash) house.

They didn’t win big, the guardians of pedophiles lost big.

      Omar.

And just super piss off the gop. Now they have to deal with a Muslim woman in charge. Complely unbought.

She gets zero pac money. All individual donations.

I’d love that for the gop. They would lose their shit.

    Try this on for size.

Last night, a lot of people who voted for Trump three times voted Blue for the first time ever.

They didn’t do it because they wanted Trump out, they did it because they want oil prices down.

The GOP can drag out an impeachment fight for two years and then paint the Dems as a do-nothing Party.

I’d be happy if the Dems passed Medicare For All and named it the Golden, Wonderful Huge Donald Trump Healthcare Bill.

In two years the state courts can feast on his bones.

Fine. But Jeffries has failed so a new face to get money to Ukraine, green energy back, and abolish ICE.

Chuck is Chuck, he should step aside and ‘mentor’ a new person to show they’ve learned a goddamn thing from the voters
