I don’t eat cheese myself, so I can’t say specifically which one. I came into the common kitchen one day, and he was just boiling a big chunky slice (like from a cheese wheel). His reason was that he thought it would ‘soften it up’.
He was a great engineer but an incredibly odd fellow. His entire room was also just hip-height stacks of old tech, laptops, books and boardgames, with only a shallow walking path between his bed, desk and bathroom.
Honestly, thats kinda sound logic. Cheese melt but would mix with water and water would also provide very uniform heating. As an engineer, I would for sure try it out as a possible solution.

I’ve never even imagined boiling cheese before. The closest I’ve come is throwing parmesan rinds into a tomato sauce, but you take the rinds out before eating it.
I am Danish and have a hatred for how the meat and dairy industry has ruined my country and its farmland. So more of a political choice, that was handed down to me by my hippie grandparents.
Would you make exceptions for, say, meat/dairy from local farms? I’m with you about the industries, and I try to supplement with locally farmed stuff as often as possible, but I’m also weak of constitution.
Sure would! But the few times I did try, it fucked with my stomach. Meat is especially rough if your stomach bacteria is not used to it.
I don’t consider myself vegan, I just don’t buy dairy products.
Elaborate on boiling a “whole cheese” please

The essentials.

Yeah I don’t trust anyone that doesn’t eat cheese (i’m guessing any dairy?). You should have that chECKED OUT.

They are too expensive to have on a regular occasion.
Agree, hence my weakness unfortunately. But I certainly try.

I’m lactose intolerant and even I eat cheese.
