I don’t know…I don’t think so. I don’t know a B from a D from an E. I chalked it up to tuning guitars many times before with tuners and just remembering in my head what those notes are supposed to sound like.
I don’t think I could reliably hit the right pitch when singing random songs I know. Maybe close? That doesn’t seem special to me, people sing all the time…

I don’t think this is actually much of a big deal, but I can tune a guitar by ear no matter how out of tune.
My uncle is a guitar afficionado, and we got into an argument when I said I could. He said you needed some kind of reference note or something like that. Wouldn’t give up. So I grabbed a guitar, scrambled all the tuning and tuned it.
He bowed in awe, but I think he just never realized he’s not as musically inclined as he’d like to be? Maybe it’s not common, but I highly doubt it’s impressively rare…

But every 0.1 degrees makes a difference. So if you care, efforts are still worthwhile. There is no hope for civilization to survive as we know it, but the less we emit the better chance something liveable is waiting on the other side.
In short, you, me and everyone alive today and their kids and their grandkids and probably more…are absolutely fucked. We have to try to care about people who won’t be alive for 100 years yet. But that’s still worth it.
