Idk if god isn’t some morally bankrupt joke and actually thought about my life, I think I’d be ok, I volunteer regularly, I give to charity, I like to do random acts of kindness, I’m always ready to lend a hand or a shoulder to cry on. I believe very strongly in the power of community and I’m a lot more culturally christian than most believers I know, I like all the love your neighbor stuff, do unto others, what we do to the least of us… I feed the hungry, I give drink to the thirsty, I welcome the stranger, I clothe the naked, the only one I don’t do is visit those in prison. If god is a good and moral being, I’ll be ok and if it turns out they don’t exist, well I’ll have lived a good life

But if you are a Christian, God might come and randomly tell you to murder your child or randomly rape you wife and you shall be fully accepting of that reality.

If you are a Christian, you should be absolutely horrified by the reality of God’s coming judgement, since most major denominations of Christianity do not allow for salvation for any other. There are 40,000 denominations (slightly less). It’s highly unlikely yours is the right one.

There are a few exceptions. The Holy See recognizes the Orthodoxies, but not Protestants.

And Universalists offer salvation to everyone, even if they’re not Christian.

(If God was judging us, They might have given us clear instructions.)

I believe it as much as I believe “regional management is in the area so be ready for a visit.” Believe it when I see it.

I would have thought he was feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, and visiting the imprisoned 24/7 and would be too busy to post online.

Telling someome who isn’t Christian to fear God and his divine wrath is no different from someone who practices Hinduism telling a non-Hindu person they’re gonna reincarnate as a lowly worm. Or a devout Muslim telling a non-Muslim person they’re going to Hell for eating pork.

It really doesn’t do much for anyone other than make you look like an asshole.

This may be part of the current wave of white Christian nationalists, who are popping off in social media, as they interpret the US 2026 midterms as a sign of the end times. (The WCN popular doctrine is Evangelical, and believes in the Second Advent.), because God cares deeply about politics in America.
